6/15/2009 - Filling Shoeboxes for Operation Child
Please join Childress Angels for Christmas in June as they fill shoeboxes to be distributed to needy children all over the world via Operation Christmas Child. Childress Angels is collecting donated items for shoeboxes at donation bins located throughout the RCR campus and at Childress Vineyards through July 3.
All filled shoeboxes will be donated to Franklin Graham’s relief organization, Samaritan’s Purse, which will deliver them to children across the globe at Christmas. Additionally, anyone wishing to make a monetary contribution to purchases for the shoebox drive or the $7 required for shipping each box can do so through Michelle Hemric at RCR or Penny Gabard at Childress Vineyards. Checks should be made payable to Childress Angels.
5/1/2009 - Used Cell Phone drive for battered women
Childress Angels is collecting used cell phones for donation to the Women’s Shelter in Lexington. The shelter provides women in abusive relationships with used cell phones for their safety and protection.
6/1/2009 - Davidson County Cancer Services Charity Ball
Davidson County Cancer Services is a United Way non profit agency that provides supplies, services, & information free to qualified residents of Davidson County who are fighting cancer. On Saturday, July 25 Davidson County Cancer Services will hold our annual charity ball and raffle “night of starz” at the rcr auditorium in welcome. The 2008 Childress Idol winner, Nicole Rapisardi and her band Midnight Steel will perform, along with a demonstration by Bill Daniels’ Karate School, an auction, prime rib by Tricia’s Catering, a 50/50 drawing, $100 gas card raffle and a DCCS will draw the winner of a brand new 2009 Chevy Aveo hatchback or $10,000.

3/4/2009 - Hunters Helping Kids gives ACH Prom Shop!
Hunters Helping Kids (local community group in Lexington, NC) collected prom dresses for American Children's Home! Our Childress Angels rep, Jessie North rallied the angels to collect 15 dresses to donate as well. The ladies from the American Children's Home were very excited to get to "SHOP" for their dresses.
